2000 days. Two thousand days.Today marks the 2000th day since Incurious George declared "Mission Accomplished" and the end of major combat operations. Good thing all the military activity in Iraq has been "minor", or else he'd have to account for the lie!

'tis the season...

Today the family went to the farm to have hayrides and get pumpkins for the upcoming season. The weather was perfect and we had a fun afternoon. Nate was his usual cute self and I am beginning to feel the excitement of the season ahead. I hope all of you out there have a great Halloween and stuff your faces with enough candy to make you dentist cringe!

Things here have been relatively benign. We have settled into our routines, and Nate continues to grow and be the easiest child ever. All smiles and good-nature make for a fun filled, loving day. I may sound like an old sap, but I can sum it all up in a line from Edie B.:

I don't believe in hatred anymore.
I hate to think of how I felt before.
When anger overwhelms your very soul,
