"Just another day in paradigm..." I often say to describe my mood. I recently saw The Fixx in concert, and singing along with Cy drove home the feelings I've been having for some time now. I've been a fan for 25 years, and am astonished how nothing has really changed in our world politic. Although back then we were fighting nuclear threats (hey George, its noo-kleear not nook-aler, by the way) and Soviet aggression; today we just substitute terrorism and fundimentalism and we're back at square one! And to make matters worse, which side is more guilty? Couple that with blatant greed and we're surely circling the drain. I can only hope change will be genuine come election day...
To leave you with the haunting message-
A little kid goes from size one to size two, still we have the same job-just what is it that we do?
All that change that's going on in that tiny mind, still we're indecisive- still we're wasting time!
There is cause, cause, cause to be alarmed!
Just think about it...

Happy Independence Day. Please take some time today to remember what this day is really significant for. I challenge each of you to read the Declaration of Independence and understand the historical significance therein. Then read the Constitution, so as to be prepared to assist our country in returning to the framework of such.
And never forget the immortal words of Ben Franklin (to paraphrase)-
"Those who would sacrifice liberty for the sake of security deserve neither- and will lose both."
Enjoy your day...

- For those who don't know me that way... I spend most of my energies contemplating life and everyone in it- mostly feeding on a combination of fascination and frustration, which is most of what I feel for the world at large...
